2- The Mystery Schools today Print

Today the Mystery Schools have practically disappeared and they have only a marginal influence in the developed countries. The modern man has no use of them being primarily interested in the material world, and in what it can bring to him personally. The spirituality that is at the core of the Mystery Schools, on the opposite, has no attraction and no use to him, as he is deeply involved in the search for immediate profit and pleasure in this life. The few followers they still attract in the developed countries are considered asocial and, as such, kept out of the mainstream of society.

Mystery Schools have kept their importance in the poor and isolated regions of the world. There, they still exist and function as they did hundred or thousand years ago.
